Leonie Häußermann is a Multi Hyphen Artist.

Her strength lays in the ability to create ideas and products for not just one particular field but various occasions.
She started her carrier in fashion.

While studying on a seamstress school she already knew her preference to be a more artistic background. So after her technical education as a bespoke tailor, she transmitted to the ‚University Of Applied Arts’ in Pforzheim.

During her studies she completed two temporary work placements. The first one took place in Antwerp - Where she was working for Tim Van Steenbergen, known through “The Antwerp Six”. Within his skilled team she was able to deepen her knowledge in the field of garment draping, pattern making from scratch, print design/development, technical/hand sketching and general product design (jewellery & light art) . She worked with him on his AW 17 collection as well as the opera “Rome and Juliet” and “Hamlet” - Showcased in the Toneelhuis in Antwerp in 16’ and 17’.

The second part of her work placement was spent in Copenhagen. There she worked with Anne Sofie Madsen on her AW17 collection. There she was mainly in charge of illustration matters - For example her project for the ‚Woolmark Prize 17‘. Further she created outfits through draping, pattern making and finished different artworks and fabric manipulations for her SS17 collection.

After her graduation (Bachelor of Arts) she began to work for “Grüne Erde”- A sustainable company, based in Austria. Grüne Erde creates organic, in-house product design including furniture, fashion, home accessory and cosmetics. Every product is sustainably sourced, ethically produced and with a strong background to reduce our human impact on the environment.

Starting as a Design Assistant first she quickly made her way up. Her first project was a sustainable yoga- and active wear collection for SS 18‘.

Today she is one of two Head Designers for “Grüne Erde” Womenswear and in charge of a wide range of designs, including knits, wovens and jersey pieces.
